Senior Director of Communications
I bring 14 years of education marketing experience, and a unique entrepreneurial perspective to Equal Opportunity Schools. During my 10-year tenure with EdVenture Partners I led branding/communications, recruitment, and community impact campaigns to raise awareness and create opportunity/access for students. Clients included Facebook (Meta), People Magazine, L.L. Bean, Chevrolet, United States Department of State, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
As the founder of an award-winning food industry startup, I wore many hats (HR, Marketing/PR, Operations, Product Development) and learned the importance of resilience and adaptability in any situation. I oversaw an earned media campaign on multiple Food Network platforms, the Cooking Channel, Black Enterprise Magazine, and local FOX/NBC/ABC/CBS affiliates.
I recently served as Director of the Small Business Center at Central Piedmont Community College strategically guiding small businesses after spending 3 years with the college Communications Marketing & PR team. With CMPR I focused on supporting the college’s philanthropic Foundation and developing a multicultural communications strategy with an emphasis on storytelling.
I joined EOS because I believe wholeheartedly in the mission and hope to positively impact generations through my work. Every time I look at a Student Insight Card, I see myself.
My wife Robyn and I have 2 children, Carter (8) and Chelsea (3). You may find us enjoying family pizza night, traveling, or taking in a sporting event.
