Regional Director, Strategic Initiatives

Raised in East Garland a suburb of Dallas, Texas, Leonard is passionate about the progression of students of color because he himself realized there were opportunities outside of where he came from that would positively impact the trajectory of his education and career.

Leonard began his career as a program director at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas where he obtained the skills necessary to effectively manage programs and grants. His passion for helping others led him to the Atlantic Housing Foundation where he served as the Community Services and Outreach Director. Leonard went on to work for the NFL Foundation in partnership with the Cooper Institute as the Director of NFL Play 60 Programs. Throughout his career, Leonard has cultivated and maintained notable partnerships and relationships with key stake holders as well as local, state and national organizations.

Leonard has become recognized for his work as a community strategist and influencer. Leonard earned Master’s degree in Public Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University.
