Maleka has always been passionate about being a part of an initiative to ensure that underrepresented students receive equitable access to educational opportunities. While attending Rutgers University, she joined several organizations that supported students from underprivileged backgrounds and provided them with resources to excel academically. She firmly believes that students of color are deserving of a quality education and a sense of belonging.
Prior to joining EOS, Maleka worked as a Marketing Administrator at Simon Property Group for 6 years. After fully diving into the need to connect her passion for educational equity and access with her career, she began working as a School Support Coordinator at KIPP NJ, a nonprofit network of charter schools with a mission to prepare students (K-12) for educational success. She is both excited and proud to work with EOS to help close the opportunity gap and bring more equity to rigorous high school programs.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 2 loving boys, cooking, making soap, and watching movies.
