Chris is deeply passionate about education and racial equity and has been an education practitioner for the past six years.
Through her four-year tenure at Seattle Public Schools, Chris led programs that built parent/guardian advocacy capacity to increase meaningful family engagement, and coached school staff and administrators across the district on racial equity awareness and best practices.
As a board and committee member of multiple equity focused groups in the Seattle area, Chris became an expert in the most current ‘equity matters’ topics and contributed to conversations that impacted policy and procedure within the public school system.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women Studies from the University of Washington, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Seattle University.
