Partnership Director
Amber has dedicated her professional and personal life to student and family engagement and advocacy. Her passion is working with schools and their communities to fundamentally change what factors have predictive power over student success.
Amber comes to Equal Opportunity Schools from a background of direct service with historically underserved students and their families. She spent years with Communities in Schools of Seattle where as a Program Manager and Site Coordinator she case managed hundreds of students and families with the highest needs, ran afterschool tutoring programs, school based food banks and community closets, whole school performance initiatives, and an affiliate wide school supply drive program with over 30 corporate partners. Due to personal family illness, she stepped away from working in schools to move back to Tucson, and while it hurt to leave her students and community, she has found that through EOS she can continue partnering with community stakeholders to reimagine student success and how to attain it.
Some of Amber’s favorite past times are re-reading the Dresden Files, loudly singing Radio Disney or Showtunes, and not drinking enough water.
