Sales Director, Partnership Development
I am joining Equal Opportunity Schools after 31 years in public education. I spent the past 25 years as a building- and district-level administrator in the state of Michigan. Most recently, I served as the Executive Director for High School Education in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. I earned an Education Specialist degree in educational leadership, a Masters degree in public administration, and a Bachelors degree in mathematics.
I have aligned my personal definition of equity – as it relates to our work with high school students – to the equity mission statement of the Ann Arbor Public Schools. Equity is the result of intentional actions to create learning environments free of barriers, biases, and disproportional access and outcomes. Equitable learning environments provide access and opportunities to a rigorous curriculum for every student regardless of personal characteristics, lived experiences, or social circumstances.
I have two sons, Rocco and Luca. We live in Bloomfield Hills, MI, and we are devoted fans of the University of Michigan – GO BLUE!
