Senior Manager, Business Operations
Rabia comes to Equal Opportunity Schools after a career in Operations in the Tech industry. Rabia served at Disney ABC Television Group where she was the Senior Operations Manager, and Technical PM for a special project that created Emotional Recognition Technology (ERT) using AI and Deep Learning. She then partnered with a colleague to create SilverLogic Labs, which wanted to push the boundaries of ERT even further with use of facial tracking, heatmapping and biometrics.
She is adept at methodological research, product development, project management, data acquisition and analysis, tooling of teams, finding data driven solutions, optimizing supply chains, streamlining, benchmarking, and improvement.
Rabia grew up in Mexico and the Caribbean, and returned to the States for University. She developed a love for Operations at a young age while working in the resorts where she lived. She had a Political Science internship with Habitat For Humanity where she worked on many local sustainability, and outreach projects in the community. During her several years there, she developed a passion for the Non-Profit sector.
Having grown up in developing regions and countries, seeing first-hand what a difference diversity and equity can make in the education system, EOS’ mission struck a chord with Rabia. She is incredibly excited to have the opportunity to join the team and use her skills to create an impact of providing equitable education for so many students who otherwise may never have the chance.
Rabia has seven associates degrees, and her bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations from University of California, Santa Barbara.
