More than a decade of experience as a parent and volunteer in Seattle Public Schools opened my eyes to the systemic inequities and barriers for students of color in our school systems. It has become a passion for me to apply my broad professional experience to support the mission critical work of EOS. Whether my contributions are in finance or human resources, I strive to be the go-to-behind-the-scenes person that keeps the train on the tracks. I love problem solving and connecting with people.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado and a Small Business Accounting Certificate from Seattle Central Community College. Before coming to EOS, I worked in high-tech advertising, owned a marine navigation business and operated an independent bookkeeping business, all in Seattle, WA.
In my free time I try to keep up with 2 teenage children with activities that include, backpacking, sailing, kayaking and climbing. When I need to rest you will find me reading or gardening.
