Laurie Bohm

Laurie has a deep commitment to educational success for underrepresented students.
She has a track record of growing innovative programs based on best practices and community need; building consensus and alignment among staff and partners; using data in decision-making; and leading with an emphasis on strengths, racial equity, and continuous improvement.

Most recently, Laurie was the White Center Promise Director at the White Center Community Development Association. Here she worked closely with Highline Public Schools, local organizations and community members to plan and implement a place-based, cradle-to-career effort rooted in the federal Promise Neighborhoods initiative. Previously, Laurie directed community schools programs at multiple sites, developed and implemented college readiness curriculum and classes for foster youth, and taught opportunity youth at local colleges.

Laurie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emerson College and a Masters of Education from Lesley University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Tomorrow-Seattle.
