Prior to working with Equal Opportunity Schools Kelli had many years of volunteering and working in the public-school system in her home state of Missouri. After attaining her Bachelors in Psychology, with an emphasis in organizational communication, she decided to follow her passion for equitable education practices. Kelli moved to Seattle, Washington where she worked closely in elementary schools providing classroom assistance while she completed her Master’s in Education Policy at the University of Washington. She has cultivated relationships and served with leaders in the non-profit world across the nation such as, the National Center for Restorative Justice, the Kauffman Foundation, and the Center for Reinventing Public Education.
Kelli’s passion is to make educational opportunities, and encouragement to participate in opportunities, equitable for all students. Now, Kelli brings her passions and experience in evaluation, research, and policy into her work with Equal Opportunity Schools as a Partnership Associate.
Along with her work at Equal Opportunity Schools Kelli volunteers with Sustainable Ballard to help plan festivals and other outreach events. She has a love for the environment and enjoys camping and hiking, in the past two years she has visited 10 National Parks and hopes to continue to build this list throughout her life, her favorite being Glacier National Park.
She also loves having time to root for her home team, GO ROYALS!
