Interim Chief Technology Officer

Derek brings a strong background in product development and software engineering to Equal Opportunity Schools. In his role as Interim Chief Technology Officer, Derek oversees the development and architecture of EOS applications for capturing and analyzing student information and effectively executing on the goal of students having opportunities and access to challenging coursework that will prepare them for the future.

Prior to joining EOS, Derek contributed in positions at Boeing and Verizon Wireless and played key roles in the product development at Seattle-based technology startups Varolii, Calamander and Knoq.

Derek has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Washington State University and a Leadership Executive MBA from Seattle University.
