Manager, Strategic Initiatives
Angie is passionate about providing underrepresented students with opportunities to expand their horizons and improve their lives. In addition to working to close opportunity gaps with Equal Opportunity Schools, she volunteers with Seattle Inspiring Connections Outdoors, introducing students to the splendor of the Pacific Northwest and the many outdoor activities the region inspires.
Prior to joining EOS, Angie taught mathematics at high schools in the Snoqualmie Valley and Renton School Districts. In addition to her classroom experience, she has had the privilege of working with students as a Link Crew Coordinator, Math Club Advisor, Drill Team Coach, and Assistant Drama Director. Each activity has strengthened her belief that all students are capable of realizing their amazing potential, given the right encouragement and support.
Angie is a semi-retired professional ballroom dancer and can occasionally be seen kicking up her heels with students on area dance floors. Angie has Bachelor of Science degrees in Probability & Statistics and Psychology from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University.
