Equal Opportunity Schools: Celebrating Yuri Kochiyama

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. Equal Opportunity Schools celebrates women of color, like Yuri Kochiyama, a Japanese America civil rights activist who spent her life advocating for Black, Latinx, Native American and Asian American communities. In 2014, the White House honored Kochiyama for her life’s pursuit of social justice.
