Equal Opportunity Schools: Celebrating Charlotte Ray

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. Equal Opportunity Schools celebrates women of color, like Charlotte Ray, who started her career teaching at Howard University and became the first Black women lawyer in the United States. She was also the first woman to graduate from Howard University School of Law, the first woman admitted to the District of Columbia Bar, and the first woman admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia.

Join us in honoring Charlotte Ray by leaving a tribute on our social media channels @EqualOppSchools.
