EOS Celebrates AAPI Heritage Month by paying tribute to Dalip Singh Saund

Equal Opportunity Schools celebrates Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by paying tribute to Dalip Singh Saund, the first Sikh American, the first Asian American, and the first Indian American to be elected to the U.S. Congress.

Saund first emigrated to the U.S. to continue his education in agriculture. After becoming a naturalized citizen, he ran for and won numerous local government positions, including a judgeship, before winning a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives where he advocated for farmers and was a fierce supporter of the 1957 Civil Rights bill.

Join us in honoring Dalip Singh Saund by leaving a tribute on our social media channels @EqualOppSchools.
