Kevin Poirier is a multi-classroom leader at West Charlotte High School. There, he focuses on coaching teachers and building the instructional capacity of others. By way of Teach for America and after graduating from UCLA in 2011, Kevin moved to Charlotte to obtain a teaching position. Kevin has worked at West Charlotte High School for eight years, four of those as a high school science teacher, two as a technology facilitator, and two as a multi-classroom leader. While he is an educator first, community organizing, advocacy, and activism is in his core and he can often be found at community events and supporting local candidates and campaigns that value equity, social justice, and creating an opportunity for others.

Kevin believes deeply that all kids ought to be able to live up to their God-given potential and ensuring that every child receives an excellent education is our best opportunity to do so.
