Frank Sinatra School of the Arts

Jacqueline Pridgen is Assistant Principal of Pupil Personnel Services at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, New York, where she leads a comprehensive counseling program, is the coordinator of AP Access for All and College for All, and serves as faculty advisor to the STEP/ Dance team, GSA and Red Cross, Anime, Soca Club, Male Mentor Program and Girls Empowerment Club. She has been an NYC Department of Education (NYCDOE) administrator since 2002 and is also a member of the College Board A Dream Deferred National Advisory Committee. She works diligently for the betterment of her school community. Her motto is “to always keep your eyes on the prize, which is student success.”

An administrator since 2002 with a public health background, Ms. Pridgen attended Bernard Baruch College for undergraduate and Touro College for Graduate school and has received extensive training in Drug Awareness and Prevention, Gang Awareness, Suicide Prevention, Conflict Resolution, Mental Health Issues, HIV/AIDS, Peer Meditation, Reproductive Health, Parenting Skills, Teaching Tolerance, Respect for All, Mentoring, Trauma, College and Career Readiness, Financial Aid, Counseling and Behavioral Health. She has a New York State certification in School Administration and Supervision and OASAS – Credentialed Prevention Protection.
