Dr. Arthur Williams has over 20 years of experience leading, serving and supporting teams in the educational, civic and faith-based sectors. He is the proud father of two energetic boys – Caleb (9) and Asher (7), and husband to his lovely wife, Carla Fisher Williams who serves as a professional school counselor. Arthur is passionate about helping people accomplish their goals while serving and adding value to others, an ethic that was cultivated by his parents, Squire and Joyce Williams as they cared and supported a family of nine siblings. As the youngest of nine children and growing up in North Philadelphia, Arthur’s core values were formed that a life well- lived is a life that serves and helps others.
Arthur speaks and trains on topics related to leadership, strategic planning, equity, and team effectiveness. He earned awards for his work in leading for equity, leadership, and service. He is an (works include Unveiling the Mask, African Americans Leading for Equity and Social Justice, Finding Our Way: Perspectives of Black Educational Leaders on the Necessity of Mentoring, and a chapter in the Amazon Bestselling book Leadership Tidbits – Powerful Strategies Every Leader Needs to Know in Order to Win) and an affiliate instructor with various colleges and universities. He has served on the Interagency Collaboration Board (ICB) of Montgomery County and currently serves on the executive board of the Maryland State Association of Secondary School Principals and as Chair of the Christian Discipleship Council at the Historic Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo.
Dr. Williams earned a BS in Education at Millersville University, Master’s Degree in School Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Maryland at College Park, with research on Distributed Leadership Practices in Schools.
