Racial disparities in education have never been more prevalent than they are today
“For these are all our children, we will all profit by or pay for what they become.” – James Baldwin
Equal Opportunity Schools’ African American Male Initiative (AAMI) has been established to improve our organizational impact on African American Male students’ experiences in schooling, with a focus on opportunities for AP, IB and AICE enrollment, classroom belonging, and other key outcomes. The initiative was born out of the overwhelming need identified from past partnership years from over 700 schools, 220 districts across 30 states to identify and implement inclusive policies and innovated methodologies designed to support your district and school needs.
We are excited to announce the introduction of the African American Male Initiative (AAMI). We have been tirelessly working to improve the student experience, specifically low-income students and students of color and we believe that AAMI will serve as an essential and inspirational resource to empower your students.
