Opportunity precedes achievement.

Action for Equity (A4E), is built for continuity and sustainability. This first phase that you are about to embark on is known as “Access Opportunity”, where we identify and enroll students into your most rigorous college-ready courses.

“Access Opportunity” is designed to increase participation rates in AP, IB, and AICE classes for low-income and students of color while transforming school culture and adult mindsets.

EOS provides expertise, data analysis, and the tools and technology for partner districts to address and close their AP, IB, and AICE participation gaps. EOS helps partner districts and schools build upon what is already working in their buildings, and nurtures a path to equity that transforms the mindsets of teachers and administrators.

Our partnership with Equal Opportunity Schools not only is resulting in thousands of underrepresented students taking on the challenge of AP, IB, and AICE, but we are working together to ensure that our academic culture nurtures access and opportunity, high expectations, and a sense of belonging for all students. It comes as no surprise that our students are achieving in these courses. – Jack R. Smith, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools Montgomery County Public Schools
